Dell Latitude with NVIDIA running Ubuntu

Using a screen expanding to two monitors was always easy until I installed the proprietary NVIDIA drivers.

Suddenly the settings for Displays do no longer feel responsible for the 2nd monitor.

You have to use nvidia-settings to configure the monitor setup (twinview in my case).

Instead of saving the X configuration in nvidia-settings, nvidia-xconfig seems to do the job without errors and a lot better, but don’t forget sudo.
